TRAVELING WITH A LAPTOP

Our laptops have become a part of our travel gear. Whether we use our laptops to watch movies, complete a presentation or use a GPS program, there are precautions we should take when our laptop travels with us. If your laptop is going with you on your next adventure, print off this Traveling with a Laptop checklist.

Store and carry laptop in a padded, well fitting case
Make sure battery is fully charged
Airport screening:
Don’t place laptop through the x-ray until you are ready to walk through

Metal detectors may harm your computer; ask for x-ray instead
If you are traveling out of the country, bring proof of purchase

Password protect access to the information on your computer
