STORM CLEANUP CHECKLIST

After Hurricane Frances and Jeanne in 2004 we learned that even if lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same spot, hurricanes can.   And we used many of the tools on the Storm Cleanup checklist.  A 30-foot pine tree uprooted and fell through our screen porch and the storm was so loud we didn’t even hear this happen.  We used the chainsaw, axe and wheelbarrow to remove the pine tree, rope and lumber to stake trees upright and the broom to chase land crabs out of the garage.  We finished all the cleanup after Hurricane Frances just in time to button down the hatches for Jeanne.
